The Book of knowledge

(25) Chapter : The Prophet صَلَّى ٱللَّٰهُ عَلَيْهِ وَ سَلَّم urged the people (mission) of 'Abdul Qais to memorise the faith and the (religious) knowledge (as he explained to them) and to inform (convey) to their people whom they have left behind (at home).

Hadith 85.

Narrated Abu Hurairah رَضِيَ ٱللَّٰهُ عَنْهُ: The Prophet said صَلَّى ٱللَّٰهُ عَلَيْهِ وَ سَلَّم , "(Religous knowledge will be taken away (by the death of religious scholars), ignornace (in religion) and Al-Fitn (trials and afflictions) will appear; and Harj will increase." It was asked, "What is Harj, O Allah's Messenger?" He replied by beckonning with his hand indicating "killing."
