(4) Chapter. To listen to and obey one's Imam (Muslim ruler) as long as his orders involve not one in disobedience (to Allah).

Hadeeth 7142.

Narrated Anas bin Malik رَضِيَ ٱللَّٰهُ عَنْهُ : Allah's Messenger صَلَّى ٱللَّٰهُ عَلَيْهِۦ وَسَلَّمَ said, "you should listen to and obey your Imam (Muslim ruler) even if he was an Ethiopian (black) slave whose head looks like a raisin."
